That's why we're evolving Goodnotes into something more powerful — going beyond stylus and tablet notes, and fundamentally introducing functionality that will empower you to capture and develop ideas in new ways. And this is just the beginning of what's possible.‍

Introducing new ways to capture, develop and refine your ideas

Goodnotes evolving to suit every moment, whether you need an expansive canvas for ideation or a structured typed document for formalization.

In addition to the classic Goodnotes notebook, Goodnotes now offers two new ways to capture your notes.

• Write and collaborate on an infinite canvas with Whiteboard. Try Whiteboard, a new infinite canvas document where you can draw, write, connect, and visualize your thoughts in any direction. Perfect for mind mapping project ideas, collaborating on design sketches, running virtual brainstorming sessions, or creating visual lesson plans and diagrams that evolve with your thinking. This is our most highly requested feature and we’re excited to put it in your hands!
• Revamped typing experience with Text Documents. Discover new Text Documents, featuring a block-based editor that makes typing as natural as handwriting. The editor supports multimedia elements including images, videos, and graphs. It's perfect for all your writing needs—from professional reports and meeting notes to academic papers and project documentation.

When it comes to making sense and meaning of the content, that’s where Goodnotes AI comes in. Similar to how Goodnotes accepts multiple forms of input—handwritten text, typed text, sticky notes, and audio—Goodnotes AI can understand and work with all these formats.

• Remove barriers to starting. Staring at a blank page and don’t know where to start? Goodnotes AI can generate templates and draft content to help you take the first step.

Starting June 30th, you’ll be able to sign up to the beta program here through your Goodnotes account.

We’re going to be adding users from the waitlist on a rolling basis, with some features available earlier, and others unlocking later as we progress.

In an effort to build more closely with our community, we’re also creating a dedicated beta community space where users can connect, share their experiences, ask questions, and proactively contribute to our progress alongside our team.
